Taipei International Sporting Goods Show 2009 - 19 - 22 Mar 2009 Taipei, Taiwan
The 2009 edition of Taipei International Sporting Goods Show, or TaiSPO, will be held on March 19-22, 2009 at the Taipei World Trade Center in Taiwan. It will feature nearly 350 exhibitors and over 1,740 booths. More than 3,000 international buyers are expected to visit. There will be eight pavilions: Fitness Equipment, Skating/Skiing Products, Sporting Ball, Outdoor/Water Sport/Sportswear, Miscellaneous Products, Media Area, Foreign Exhibitors and Associations for further prospects.
Among the activities lined up for the upcoming fair is the TaiSPO All Stars - Innovation's Stage of Excellence Award; this will be given to suppliers whose products reflect creative aesthetics, innovative technology, quality and compliance to international standards, and environmental friendliness.
The competition is open free-of-charge to all exhibitors. Non-exhibitors who are selected winners must pay NT$10,000 per entry for exhibition fee.
In addition, the 2009 fair will mark the commencement of the Innovative Design Competition in Sports Technology. This project is under efforts to promote products that combine sports, leisure and technological ideas.
There will also be seminars and procurement meetings as well as city tours and factory visits.
The TaiSPO 2008 presented 300 exhibitors with 1,582 booths. The event attracted about 11,313 local visitors and 2,619 overseas buyers, including many from Germany, Japan, US, the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, Korea, China, India, Thailand, Singapore and Canada. The total number of overseas buyers has grown by 30.17% compared to the 2007 edition.
